I sandkassen snakkede Stig om, at man kunne kompilere kernen med en parameter, som gjorde, at kun de moduler man rent faktisk benytter bliver kompileret.
Man kan jo aldrig vide på forhånd hvilke usb dippedutter man propper i sin maskine, så jeg synes det lyder lidt mærkeligt.
Du kan evt. få et hint med "lspci -k" som viser hvilke moduler der bruges til din hardware, og så senere bygge dem ind i kernen.
