Gimp, Staroffice och printersetup

Hejsan!

Jag har två frågor. 

Ett:

Jag kan inte använda svenska tecken i GIMP. Hur ställer jag in det?

Två:

Jag har nu laddat ner staroffice, men verkar bara ha installerat den på min
root. Vill ju givetvis att jag ska kunna lägga till staroffice för varje
användare. Vad är det för flagga för "systemwide" intstall?

Tre:

Jag har, när jag installerade RH6.1 lagt till en Epson Stylus Color 400 och
skrivit ut ett provdokument. Där funkade allt fint, nu hittar inte systemet
några anslutna skrivare (control-panel).

Vad göra?
