Jeg så det her på SuSE-listen:

To define which application is the default one you have to:

1.  Create an icon for the application you want to be the default and in
the Application tab of its properties select which mime types it can
handle.
2.  Go to the mime type properties and in the Binding tab select this
application from the list to make it the default.

You get to the mime types by opening a KFM window and selecting
Edit/Mime Types.
