Da Red Hat i 6.1 har været så "venlige" at fjerne muligheden for at vælge

Fdisk i stedet for Disk Druid, er ovenstående ikke så let at lave.

Min erfaring med Disk Druid er, at man får lov til at lave følgende:
hda1        /
hda5
hda6  ...etc
hvor swappartitionen altid bliver den sidste i den udvidedepartition,
altså den
inderste og dermed langsomste.

Jeg vil foreslå, at du starter med en Red Hat 5.X/6.0 og vælger Fdisk,
hvor du
har mulighed for at lave op til 4 partitioner, hvoraf en kan være
udvidet. Når du
er sikker på at dine nye indstillinger er accepteret af systemet, stopper
du
installationen (slukker / rebooter) og påbegynder installationen af
6.1'neren.
I Disk Druid er arbejdet så, at give partitionerne de rette mountpoints -
det er
en god ide med lidt papirarbejdet før man begynder ; o )
