kde bruger utf-8 mest på grund af desktop-filerne. desktop.po bruges til at 
lave de mange *.desktop filer der gør menuer etc lokaliserede, og i disse 
filer bliver man nødt til kun at have et tegnsæt, og det skal være et der kan 
bruges til alle sprog, altså utf-8. Jeg mener gettext nu om dage bruger 
tegnsæt kommentaren der kompileres ind i *mo filerne fra *po filerne, så der 
er måske ikke grund til at bruge utf-8 til alting. Jeg mener dog at kunne 
huske at man på et eller andet tidspunkt vil kræve utf-8 til alting. Jeg 
læste i går at gnome2.0 bruger unicode, og jeg går ud fra de mener utf-8 
dermed. Jeg tror lige så godt man kan vænne sig til utf-8, og kbabel virker 
med utf-8, men det kræver måske at der står UTF-8 i begyndelsen af filen i 
tegnsæt kommentaren
