Fw: [Bxl] Re: [Pr] e-Patents... And ISP's?

ISPs will receive letters telling them to "remove software from your
server immediately and declare solemnly that they will not infringe on
our patent again".

When ISPs host an opensource project or any other project which produces
downloadable software, they will be engaging in a risky business. It
will be entrepreneurially irresponsible to operate an ISP business.

This is the result of "Compromise Amendment 1" to the European
Commission's directive which were introduced in the Legal Affairs
Commission (JURI) in the European Parliament and adopted, following
a recommendation of the rapporteur Arlene McCarthy MEP.

Please feel free to contact us for mutual help in warning MEPs against
adoption of this indecent directive proposal on June 30.
