I DigitalForbruger diskuterer vi også definitionen af åbne standarder
p.t.

Vi er p.t. nået frem til følgende, som ikke er helt i tråd med Kelds
definition:

1) Veldokumenteret med fuldstændige specifikationer frit stillet
     tilgængelig for enhver.
  2) Uden restriktioner på implementering og anvendelse. Herunder
     økonomiske og politiske.
  3) Uafhængig af individuelle kommercielle interesser og vedligeholdt
     i et åbent forum.

Dette ser også ud til at være præcis den betyding Det Radikale Venstre
anvender i deres "software politik":
