Commissioner Liikanen presents recent e-Europe statistics and sets priorities for the future

On Tuesday 12 February 2002, at 11.00 am CET, Commissioner Liikanen will
present the first European Commission e-Europe Benchmarking Report

at a press conference. The venue is the Commission's press room in
Brussels. This report will provide the most recent data and analysis of
the progress in implementing the e-Europe Action Plan. Mr. Liikanen's
presentation will also focus on the priorities for the future regarding
the e-Europe strategy and will outline the Commission's objectives in
this regard for the forthcoming European Council in Barcelona.

On the same occasion, Commissioner Liikanen will present the recent
European Commission report on the implementation of the Charter on Small
Business.
